Description
"At Dawn" by Tatiana Hellum is a striking piece of abstract expressionism that captures the ethereal transition of night to day. The painting, executed in bold, gestural strokes, radiates an energy that evokes the quiet yet vibrant atmosphere of early morning. The use of cool blues and warm pinks forms a dynamic interplay, suggesting the gradual emergence of light across a landscape, reminiscent of Norway's natural environments that influence Hellum’s work. Hellum’s intuitive approach to painting is evident in the layered textures and rhythmic movements that populate the canvas. The composition invites viewers to explore the relationship between color and perception, offering a sensory experience beyond the tangible. By drawing on her background in biology and personal encounters with diverse environments, Hellum translates her observations into an evocative visual language, making this piece a testament to her innovative exploration of atmospheric memory.
